Washing is the easy part. Hanging it out, folding, the airer across the room... At Lila, you come in with a full basket and leave with your laundry ready to put away in a little over an hour.

No need. The washing machines already include detergent, softener and stain remover, all dosed automatically.

It depends on the machine and the programme you choose. Washes take 30 minutes, and dries between 30 and 45 minutes. You can't open the door during a wash, but you can during a dry — we recommend checking your laundry as it dries to make sure it comes out exactly as you want it.

Yes, you're welcome to have a wander round the neighbourhood, but remember to be back before the cycle ends to avoid any bother. If you're a long time, our staff or another customer may put your laundry in a basket while you're away.

Yes. You'll also find a bowl by the entrance for a drink. Just make sure they don't bother the other neighbours. And if your pet has made a mess in the shop, we'd ask you to please clean it up — remember that Lila is generally unstaffed and depends on the good manners of those of us who use it to keep it in the best condition.

We offer delicate programmes. Make sure you choose the right programme for the care of your item, as some fabrics can shrink at high temperatures.
